In a heartfelt endeavor to alleviate the chill of winter, the Bangladesh Extension Education Services (BEES) launched a compassionate initiative under its social protection program. The picturesque town of Palashbari in Gaibandha district witnessed an inspiring event at the Prashika Technical Training Center, where the essence of humanity came to life.
A total of 160 winter garments found their way into the hands of those most in need—the business, local, and underprivileged individuals. This momentous distribution aimed not only to provide warmth in the form of clothes but also to kindle hope in the hearts of the cold-stricken community.
The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals dedicated to the cause. Mr. Alhaj AKM Mokched Chowdhury Vidyut, the Chairman of Upazila Parishad, Palashbari, Gaibandha, stood as the chief guest, embodying leadership with compassion. Joining him were special guests: Mr. Arju Md. Sajjad Hossain, Officer-in-Charge, Palashbari Police Station; Mr. Abdullah-Al-Maeed, Assistant Director, Microfinance, BEES; and Mr. Shahi Masuma Akhtar, Deputy Assistant Director, Education and Social Protection Programme, BEES. Also in attendance was Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Zonal Manager of BEES Palashbari Zone, Gaibandha.
The program, presided over by Mr. Md. Kamrul Hasan, Upazila Executive Officer of Palashbari, Gaibandha, served as a beacon of warmth, both in the literal and metaphorical sense. It not only distributed winter clothes but also wove a tapestry of compassion and community spirit, fostering an environment where the collective effort strives to bring comfort to those in need.
