MaMoni-Health System Strengthening Project
MaMoni-HSS is one of the successful projects of BEES and works in Noakhali district of Bangladesh. It has been implementing in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the guidance of Save the Children. Noakhali was chosen as the intervention area as a consequence of the district’s high maternal and child mortality rate. Bangladesh Extension Education Services (BEES) has been implementing the MaMoni-HSS project as a partner of the Save the Children International under USAID’s Global Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program (MCHIP). The project aim is to strengthen the Government of Bangladesh (GoB)health systems and the delivery of key maternal and newborn care services through the district, upazila, and union and ward level systems to improve utilization of integrated MNCH/FP/N services.
The project is financed by USAID and through Save the Children as its implementation partner. The Project has been implementing since June 2013 and will be continued till March 2018.This project will be expanded at 8upazilas of Noakhali district.BEES has been engaged with this project to achieve these following specific objectives.

IR-3: Promote an enabling environment to strengthen districts level health systems.

BEES implements this project in collaboration with the local Health and Family Planning Department under MOHFW. We work with MOHFW to foster community engagement, deliver and facilitate community level services, providing critical gap management and strengthen key MOHFW and the local government system including capacity building at district level.
